Give hope a field

Esperanza means hope. A field is where a kid finds out they belong.

Esperanza Fields Foundation is a Denver 501(c)(3). We help communities rebuild fields — on town-owned or privately owned land — and keep them open to kids and families who would otherwise be priced out or left without a place to play.

Why your gift matters

The land can be the town’s or a private owner’s. What most places don’t have is a way to rebuild a worn-out field, make it usable, and keep it affordable.

Your gift helps us:

We do not claim finished fields we have not built. The first gifts go to standing up a real donate path, the first town packets, and the work that gets a field from talk to dirt.

What we will not do with a gift

Your donation stays with the foundation. It is not a payment to any private sports complex.

A field can stay town-owned or privately owned. A site-management company is to be formed; it is not operating today. That future company is not this charity.

Online giving

Coming. We will not put a fake button on this page. When the processor is live, this section becomes the donate form.

Until then, checks and a confirmed wire are the only official path. Do not use third-party “donate” buttons on Charity Navigator or GuideStar. Those profiles are still under the old name and are not ours.

Talk first

If you want a 30-minute intro before you give, book a call or email Ryan.

In memory of Essie

Esperanza “Essie” Avalos Spilborghs died February 27, 2009. She signed her son Ryan up for baseball because of Fernando Valenzuela. The family took care of the fields their kids played on. This foundation is named for her.
